Employee Spotlight: Jamie Orr
Our Team, Doing Good in the World
At BioTech X-ray, we’re proud of the work we do every day — but we’re just as proud of the people behind it.
This holiday season, we want to spotlight Jamie Orr, who for the second year in a row organized the Santa Fun Run, a community 5K benefiting Angel Tree, an organization that provides Christmas gifts to children with a parent who is incarcerated.
This year’s event, held on November 22, 2025, was a powerful example of what can happen when one person has a vision — and a community shows up to support it.
Nearly 200 runners and walkers (198 Santas, to be exact) participated in the race, supported by 32 volunteers cheering them on. Participants traveled from across Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri, all coming together for one shared purpose: making Christmas brighter for kids who need it most.
Thanks to the incredible turnout and generosity, the Santa Fun Run was able to support 27 children through Angel Tree — even more than last year — and Jamie already has her sights set on beating that number again next year.
BioTech X-ray was honored to sponsor the race, and we were even more proud to see members of our own Quad Cities team step in personally. Kathy Klos and Shannon Brady, along with their families, participated in the run and volunteered their time, embodying what it means to live our values beyond the workplace.
From organizing the event, to running and volunteering, to shopping for Angel Tree gifts (including bikes that barely fit in the van), this effort reflects something we deeply believe at BTX: real impact happens when people care enough to act.
We couldn’t be more proud to work alongside people like Jamie, Kathy, Shannon, and the many others who quietly make a difference in the lives of others.
This is who we are, at BioTech X-ray.
